November 2007 - ACSYS To Open West Coast Plant
Hayden Lake, Idaho. Acsys, Inc., internationally renown for its energy
efficient and cost effective panelized building system for both commercial and
residential construction is continuing its expansion, now on the West Coast.
Acsys Inc. has begun work on its new production facility in Post Falls, Idaho
to manufacture its patented Acsys panel system. The system replaces structural
stud wall and non-structural curtain wall assemblies. Today's concerns
over energy costs, mold growth, speed of construction, availability of skilled
labor, and sustainable building products are easily addressed with the Acsys
technology.
Growing demand for the Acsys building system, combined with today's energy
and transportation costs, has motivated it to establish its new, West Coast,
production facility near Spokane, Washington. To date, its technology has
been proven in hundreds of commercial and residential projects across the
country and internationally.
Acsys recently granted Butler Manufacturing Company, of Kansas City, Missouri
a non-exclusive license to continue manufacturing the Acsys panel under the
Koreteck brand name for non-residential projects. Acsys can now source
panels from both the Koreteck plant in Virginia and the new Acsys plant in
Idaho.
These exciting new developments give Acsys, Inc. true coast-to-coast access
to the commercial and residential construction markets. We expect plant
operations to be underway in the spring of 2008 said, Werner Nennecker,
President, Acsys, Inc.
Acsys Sponsors WSU Solar Decathlon Project in Washington, D.C.
Washington State University used Acsys wall and roof panels for their Solar
Decathlon Project. The Solar Decathlon brings together 18 teams of college and
university students from around the globe to participate in an unparalleled
solar competition to design, build, and operate the most attractive and
energy-efficient solar-powered home. The Acsys system was chosen because of its
high R-value and ease of construction.
The Solar Decathlon is a competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of
Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in partnership with
its National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the American Institute of Architects,
the National Association of Homebuilders, BP, the DIY Network, and Sprint. The
goal is to use only energy from the sun and to generate enough electricity to
run a modern household.
