Acsys Inc. started development of its patented panelized
building system in 1998. The product received International Code
Council approval in 2000. Since then over 500 commercial and
residential projects have utilized the Acsys technology
throughout North America and 3 foreign countries.
Acsys granted Butler Manufacturing Company, the world's
largest manufacturer of pre-engineered steel buildings, a
non-exclusive license to produce the Acsys panel for the
non-residential market under the "R-Steel" brand name. In
2004 Bulter was acquired by BlueScope Steel and was renamed
Koreteck.
During most of this time Acsys Inc. continued to supplement
Koreteck production for commercial projects from it’s Idaho
facility while producing the identical product under the Acsys
brand name for residential applications.
In July of 2010 our licensee, Koreteck Inc., ceased
operations at it’s Virginia facility due to continuing economic
conditions in the construction market. Acsys seamlessly
completed several prior Koreteck Inc. projects that were under
construction or in design out of the Idaho facility.
In August of 2010, to provide stronger customer focus and
lower overhead costs, Acsys Inc. consolidated its commercial and
residential products under one brand, Koreteck.
